Break Down...

For those that might wonder, this is an approximation of how our trip will breakdown...

May 1st - Leave Columbus
May 2nd - Arrive in Hong Kong 5pm
May 3rd - Agencies like for their clients to arrive in the destination city 2 nights early so that they can get used to the time change before meeting their new child. Typically, you use the extra time to see some sites. For us, we are off to Disney! (we chose this to help Kennedy burn some energy)
May 4th - We travel to Chongqing. This is the capital city of the Chongqing province where the adoption will take place. This also happens to be the city that Bai Hua lives in!
May 5th - We will meet Bai Hua and start the adoption proceedings. After the day of paperwork and questioning, we will go back to the hotel to rest.
May 6, 7, 8 and 9th - We will get to know Bai Hua and see her city!
May 10th - By this time, we should have Bai Hua's Passport and official adoption documents. We should be free to travel to Guangzhou tomorrow.
May 11th - Travel to Guangzhou, Guangdong where the US consulate is.
May 12th - Bai Hua will have a physical exam to confirm the doctor reports that we were given and that she is fit to travel. We will also start the paperwork for the immigration services.
May 13 and 14th - We are waiting and waiting while her papers are processed by the consulate so that she can travel to the US as our daughter.
May 15th - We have our consulate appointment which is about 5 minutes long where we raise our hand and repeat the words that are spoken by our leader.
May 16th - We receive her immigration papers.
May 17th - We fly home!!!!!!
