Geek Dad moment:
One of my favorite authors passed away yesterday. Google has a wonderful send off for this icon of Science Fiction. Please take a look at it here.
One of the first books I read by Mr Clarke was Childhood's End and it blew my young mind. After that I consumed all of my parents books by him and then I stumbled into the Asimov and I never looked back. He was a wonderful author and the world is a darker place with his passing. If you have never read any of his works I suggest starting off with the Rendezvous with Rama series then the 2001 series. You will be a better person for it.
